We are the Parrots and Penguins Class. There are 90 of us in total. Our Teachers are Mrs Stuart and Miss Cook. We also have two Nursery Officers looking after us; Mrs Singh and Mrs Al-Mahdi. Miss Lobban and Miss Unlu also help us in the Nursery.
We have settled well into the Nursery routine and are making relationships with both peers and adults.
Our Nursery is split into two sessions. Parrots class runs in the morning from 8.30am to 11.30am. Penguins Class runs in the afternoon from 12.30pm until 3.30pm. There are 45 children in each session.
Mrs Stuart studied a Bachelor of Education Degree (B’ed Hons) at the University of North London. She has a real passion for the early years and is committed to raising achievement and developing potential.
Miss Cook studied a Bachelor of Arts degree in History, at Birmingham University and later studied a PGCE at the Institute of Education.She loves to travel, scuba diving,and of course teaching!
Mrs Singh has an NNEB level 3 Diploma and I has worked at the school for 7 years. She is friendly with a good sense of humour and is always willing to help.
Mrs Al-Mahdi has been working in education for 8 years, and I also have a degree in Chemistry and a foundation degree in early years. Her passion is in early years. She enjoys designing and decorating.
Miss Lobban has an NVQ in supporting learning in school. I also run the story time club for nursery and reception and Mrs Unlu has been working with children between the ages of three months to five years for four years.
Home work activity will be set every Thursday and should be returned the following Tuesday.

We have been planning our provision around the following books ‘Owl Babies, So Much and the Rama and Sita Story.’
In Communication, Language and Literacy the children have been learning to distinguish one sound from another, and also to give meaning to the marks they make as they draw and paint.
In Problem Solving, Reasoning and Numeracy, the children have been learning to order numbers and to count and recognise numbers to 6 and beyond.
In Knowledge and Understanding of the World the children have been showing curiosity and interest in the feature of objects and living things and an interest in the lives of people familiar to them.
In Creative Development the children have been exploring colour and beginning to differentiate between colours. Moreover, they have been exploring texture and shape and learning to sing simple songs.
In Physical development the children have been learning to move freely with pleasure and confidence in
a variety of ways.
