We are the Dolphin's Class. There are 27 of us in total. Our Teacher is Miss Young. We are a very special Year 5 class from around the world. Many of us can speak more than two languages! We love learning and our favourite subjects are P.E, Literacy and Philosophy.
In geography our topic is water. We will be exploring where water comes from and the consequences of wasting water.
In Literacy we have been reading the book ‘Friend or foe.’ Our main focus this term in and extending our writing and punctuating it correctly.
In maths we will be focusing on: calculations, place value, written methods for addition and subtraction and multiplication facts. We will be carrying out investigations to apply our knowledge of calculations.

In science, our topic is gases around us. We will be exploring the particles in gases, solids and liquids and will be carrying out investigations looking to see whether air weighs anything.
Our homework is completed in our learning journals . Journals are sent home on a Thursday and are due back to school on the following Tuesday.
Join us on our reading mornings each Friday! This is an opportunity for parents/carers to come in and read with their child once a week. Come to your classroom at 8:30am or ask Miss Young for more information or check out the school notice board.
