Butterfly Class Information

We are the Butterflies Class. There are 27 of us in total. Our Teacher is Miss Goodman. Butterfly class is an enthusiastic and humourous class. We enjoy being read to, being challenged and sharing our ideas. We are learning to be responsible, to work as a team and be consistent with our work.

Miss Goodman trained at Canterbury University in Christchurch, New Zealand for three years. She taught in New Zealand with years 3, 4 and 5. She has also taught in early childhood centres and Montessori’s. I like all the core subjects especially literacy. Her specialism is in the performing arts.
She loves singing, dancing, learning to play the guitar, and reading with her class.

Our current reading book is ‘Into the forest’ by Anthony Browne.

Homework goes out on a Thursday and is due back on a Tuesday. On a Tuesday and Wednesday night they are to read and practise their number bonds.

P.E. is on Monday – indoors and Tuesday – outdoor.
